Native Rift Limited Craftsmanship Warranty

 

At Native Rift, every piece is built from 100% solid wood. We do not use veneers, MDF, plywood cores, or engineered substitutes. What you receive is real material, real joinery, and real craftsmanship—and we stand behind it.

 

 

Warranty Coverage

 

Native Rift provides a two (2) year limited craftsmanship warranty beginning on the date of delivery.

 

This warranty covers:

 

  • Structural integrity of the piece

  • Craftsmanship related to joinery, assembly, and construction

  • Excessive warping, splitting, or cracking beyond what is considered normal for solid wood

  • Finish issues caused by application or preparation defects, including peeling, flaking, or abnormal breakdown

 

If an issue qualifies under this warranty, Native Rift will determine the appropriate solution, which may include repair, refinishing, or other reasonable mitigation.

 

 

Solid Wood Construction (No Veneers)

 

Because our work is made entirely from solid wood:

 

  • Natural movement is expected

  • Grain, knots, mineral streaks, and color variation are part of the material—not defects

  • Seasonal expansion, contraction, and minor checking may occur

 

These characteristics are normal and reflect the authenticity of solid wood furniture, not engineered or veneered products.

 

 

Natural Wood Movement

 

Solid wood responds to changes in humidity and temperature. This may include:

 

  • Minor warping or bowing

  • Small cracks or surface checking

  • Subtle changes in finish appearance over time

 

These effects are normal. However, if wood movement becomes excessive or problematic within two years of delivery, Native Rift will evaluate the issue and work toward a reasonable resolution.

 

 

Finish Wear & Aging

 

All finishes age naturally. Slight variations in sheen, tone, or texture—especially in high-use or sun-exposed areas—are expected.

 

If finish issues occur within two years due to workmanship or application (not misuse or environmental exposure), Native Rift will assist in correcting or mitigating the issue when feasible.

 

 

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

 

This warranty does not cover:

 

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Improper installation or mounting

  • Damage caused by moisture, heat, direct sunlight, or extreme humidity changes

  • Abuse, neglect, accidents, or unauthorized modifications

  • Natural characteristics of solid wood, including grain variation, knots, or color shifts

 

 

Customer Responsibilities

 

To help ensure long-term performance:

 

  • Maintain a climate-controlled environment

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or heat

  • Follow any care instructions provided with your order

 

Proper care significantly reduces the likelihood of movement or finish issues.
